How do you price your IT services?
Texas DNS typically prices on a per-server and per-workstation, per-month basis. However, the ideal support agreement is the one that designates Texas DNS as
your one-stop-shop, providing unlimited access and IT service for a flat monthly fee. For more details on pricing, please fill out our 5-Point Network Audit Form and one of our IT consultants will contact you within 24 hours with a tailored estimate.

What is your typical response time?
Generally it is less than an hour, however we guarantee to respond within 2 hours on a network-wide emergency. If a trouble ticket is entered into the uptime system and it is NOT a network-wide emergency (i.e. a workstation issue affecting one or two people) we guarantee a 4-hour response. That response time tends to be significantly faster due to our uptime system that allows us to connect remotely and often handle the issue within seconds or minutes. How does Texas DNS help businesses track software and licensing?
This function of our uptime system allows us to run regular audits of any network, including software licensing counts.

Do you support phone, pda, iPad and other Apple products?
We have many years of experience with Apple products, so these items can be included in our support agreements or obtained on an hourly billing basis.

What certifications do your IT consultants have?
Various Microsoft Certifications including: MCSE and MCP, Sonicwall, Cisco, Dell and HP.

Can Texas DNS help my business with virus prevention, recovery and backups?
Since this is our core business, we will design and implement a custom solution that will always include all three of these and more.

Do your IT services help me track employee productivity as it relates to personal web activity?
There are services available in some brands of firewalls that we typically implement to track web usage. Additionally, some of our clients have us block social media or other designated sites.

Reputation
There are no shortages of horror stories about fly-by-night computer repair shops causing problems as a result of their unethical or incompetent behavior. While these are in the minority, we know they exist because we have had a number of customers come to us to clean up the disasters they have caused. Unlike most other industries, computer firms are not regulated to protect the consumer from receiving substandard work, so performing careful due-diligence on the front end will save time, money and downtime.

Verify credentials and check references. Anyone who can turn a computer on can market themselves as a computer repair technician or shop. Even if they are honestly trying to do a good job for you, their inexperience can cost you dearly in your machine’s performance or in lost or corrupt data files.
